Review: IPad2 killer - meet Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

The new Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 was released late June 2011 on the third week in the US and believed to be an iPad killer for some reasons like;

1.)Screen Resolution Display, Slim and Good Mobility

Galaxy Tab have a huge screen and by a huge screen its "10.1 inch" and a higher resolution display than the iPad 2s' 1,024 x 768 versus the Galaxy Tabs' 1,280 x 800

Samsung Galaxy Tab is also technically thinner than the iPad 2 by 0.01 inch thinner.

and when it comes to weight and mobility Galaxy Tab weighs 1.24 lb compared to iPad 2’s 1.33 lb weight, so you can carry it a little much more with lightly.

2.)Processor, multimedia and wireless power!

Galaxy tab is loaded with Tegra 2 dual core 1 Ghz processor, top notch touch response, 1080p video playback for your viewing pleasure, 720p video recording, WiFi for you internet craves and a Bluetooth feature for your file transfers.

The Galaxy Tab beats iPad 2 in terms of the camera. Galaxy Tab comes with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, and can offer you a 1080p video capture for better quality.

To compare the two, iPad 2 has a 0.7-megapixel rear-facing camera which can record videos at 720p along with a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video chat.

3.) It's An-Droid Tech!

Yes another Android Tech with Android™ 3.1 Honeycomb its speed is one to ride with.
The new OS promises better animations, faster response and improved web browser performance.

But whats good on Android powered tech is that the free market applications you can download right onto your own unit, unlike apple application you really have to pay for an application or a game you want to play, application you want to use or a custom application to spice up your phone.

4.)Price worth it?

The 16GB version retails for $499 (would be P21,300+ in Philippine Peso) while the 32GB version retails for $599(P25,600+ in Philippine Peso).

still up to you to decide which one fits your quality tablet but of course cheapest price with quality and pleasure is always the best right?

Philippine Sun Cellular's Huawei B200 Wifi Broadband

I have a previous DSL connection which costs a big pile of cash on a monthly plan
it was like P1600 monthly and you can have a landline and a 1mbps connection speed
so in other words I'm paying for the DSL Cable + Landline phone to avail a 1mbps connection, and then there was SUN.

Sun Cellular has offered me a cheap deal for an ISP (Internet Service Provider) their proposed wire-less broadband next to the mini stick like thingy is the Huawei B200 model.

Whats new about this plan?
the Huawei B200 can act as a wireless router and at the same time your ISP modem

Whats it look like?

here is its interface for you if you haven't seen the model yet:

The Top Front View as you can see the Power button on the top, and the lights represents the connection details.
From the blue light that represents the wireless connection, the next green light is the signal strength of the router when its green it you can see its color as a pure green and if the signal is low it somehow changes to orange or yellow, the next is the blinking green light that represents the connectivity of the router from the internet with each info it sends or receive or you can just call it the received part on some few routers.

The back side top view has four different ports, from the black wired port is the antenna connection, next to it is the power cord (obviously it powers the router), and the yellow port is the RJ 45 connection slot and the last if for the telephone(landline) connection slot.

Router Cost?
router costs P1,500 you can pay over any Sun Cellular that offers this plan (this includes the antenna).

Plan Cost?
this plan is only P650 "MONTHLY" very cheap for a 1mbps right?

Whats the Speed?
you can hog all the 1mbps speed to you with this connection
you also have to take note of the signal strength on this one because it rely does rely on the signal strength of the ISP to ensure its connection speed.

Security?
like any other router you can set its security passwords for LAN connection or WIFI connection just punch in your default gateway I.P address and you can access the router.
